Therapy is a space for collaboration, healing, and self-growth. Coping with anxiety, depression, and big life transitions can be really difficult and hard to do all on your own. My work with individuals focuses on looking at how thought patterns and emotional reactions impact actions and behaviors; while acknowledging that the way you exist now has been affected by past experiences. Therapy is a brave yet challenging space to grow and build insight, while also finding safety and comfort through our work together. I want all of my clients to truly gain a deeper understanding of themselves to shape a better life and future wellness. I appreciate an integrative approach and understand that with therapy one size never fits all. Our work together will focus on building an emotionally healthy future with an approach that can best fit you.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist at Insight Wellness, I completed my master’s level internship here and received my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Towson University. While at Towson, I was involved in various student success initiatives across multiple colleges and programs across campus. I hold a bachelor’s degree in both psychology and business administration from Creighton University. Prior to my master’s degree, I have extensive work experience in various healthcare settings as well as academia.
I have completed additional training certificates including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Training (CCTP – Level 1) as well as Motivational Interviewing (Level 1). I appreciate working with a wide variety of struggles, but have a passion for difficult life transitions through trauma-informed practice.
I provide psychotherapy services under Supervisor Amanda (Amy) Miles, LCPC.
